AUFIERO, Joseph D., of Randolph, formerly of Somerville, passed away suddenly on January 4, 2023, at the age of 73. Born and raised in Somerville, Joe graduated from Somerville High School and later went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Fisher College. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968 - 1972. He began his career in route sales in 1975 and retired in 2017. In his free time, Joe was most happy being a devoted grandfather and spending time with his family and friends. Joe will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Joe was the beloved husband for 46 years to Susan (DiBiase) Aufiero. Loving father of John Aufiero and his fiancée Christine of Newton and Mark Aufiero and his wife Debbie of Mansfield. Devoted brother of Lenny Aufiero of Burlington, Paul Aufiero of Somerville and the late Norma Aufiero. Former father-in-law of Cindy Boyce of Easton. Cherished “Papa” to Quentin, Thomas and Anna. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, January 16th, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (RT. 28), Randolph. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM. Burial will private. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the MSPCA/Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130 or a charity of ones choice.
