BREGOLI, Edmund G., of Braintree, formerly of Marshfield, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on December 7, 2022, at the age of 96. Born and raised in Braintree, Ed graduated from Braintree High School. He was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country during WWII, where he earned the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Ed had a long career in the banking industry, working for many banks in Boston and Braintree. After his retirement, he rekindled his passion as an entertainer, singing and playing guitar with “Blanche Clark & the Melodics” in Scituate where he met his late wife Martha. Later, billed as “George & Martha” the duo performed at many nursing homes on the South Shore. In later years Ed performed solo at the Braintree Highland's Housing and Hull Senior Centers. In his free time, Ed was crafty and enjoyed working with his hands. A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Ed will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Edmund was the husband of the late Martha (Snyder) Bregoli. Father to Jane Bregoli of Dartmouth, June Bregoli of Norwell, Mark Bregoli of Hull and the late Barry Bregoli. Brother of Arthur Bregoli, John Bregoli, and Robert Bregoli, all of Braintree and the late Louis Bregoli and Alfred Bregoli. Grandfather to David Bregoli, Jessica Bregoli – Sparling, Anna Bregoli and the late Vincent Bregoli. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Close friend of the late Delores LaLama. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on Tuesday, December 13th, at 12:00 Noon at the Braintree Cemetery, Plain St., Braintree, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edmund’s name to the Road to Responsibility, Inc., 1831 Ocean St, Marshfield, MA 02050.
