DESTEFANIS, Lilla M. “Lil” (Santoro), of Randolph, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on November 14, 2022, at the age of 95. Born and raised in Boston, Lil graduated from Hyde Park High School. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper, prior to her retirement. Lil had many passions in life, including sewing, gardening, roller skating and bowling. She also enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises. Lil was also active in her community as a member of the St. Bernadette's Parish as a Eucharistic Minister and Volunteer, Randolph Garden Club, the Sons of Italy, the Ladies Library Club, and the Red Hat Society, to name a few, however, spending time with her family and grandchildren is what brought her the most joy. A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Lil will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Lilla was married for 53 years to the late John Destefanis. Loving mother of Diane Sprague and her husband George of Middleboro, Denise Joy and her late husband Jim of Randolph, Linda Donovan and her husband Frank of Stoughton, Suzanne Connelly and her husband Gregg of Rockland and John Destefanis and his wife Linda of So. Weymouth. Sister of the late Steve Santoro and Ida Czerwonka. Cherished “Nana” to Nicole, Derrick, Ryan, Michael, Shauna, Cristina, Adriana, Marina, John and the late Jennifer and Andrea, and “Great Nana” to Liam and Lillian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 20th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main Street (RT. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 21st at 10:30 AM in St. Bernadette Church, 1031 No. Main St., Randolph. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Lilla’s name to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
