McCONVILLE, Paul M., of Braintree, formerly of Boston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on November 14, 2022, at the age of 74. Born and raised in Boston, Paul graduated from Don Bosco High School, Class of 1966. Paul worked as an electrician for the IBEW and was a proud member of Local 103 for 56 years, retiring from the MBTA at the age of 62. In his free time, Paul was a bagpiper in the Local 103 Pipe and Drum Band, an avid gardener and enjoyed working on projects around his house. He was also an active member of the Braintree community, coaching several youth sports and was a past-president of East Braintree Little League and director of Braintree Babe Ruth Baseball. Of all his passions, Paul lived for his family and grandchildren and was a professional youth sports spectator, who never missed a game or event. A devoted husband of 50 years, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Paul was the beloved husband of Laura (Essenheimer) McConville. Loving father of Paul J. McConville of Braintree and Sean McConville and his wife Jocelyn of Braintree. Devoted brother of James McConville and his wife Judy of VA, Phil McConville and his wife Karen of WI, Matthew McConville and his wife Brenda of Medway and the late F. Brian McConville. Cherished “Papa” to Jake, Kyle, Rachel, and Jessica. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Monday, November 21st, from 9:30 – 11:30 AM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 850 Washington St., Braintree. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
