DeWITT, Kathleen E. (Clooney), of Braintree, formerly of Savin Hill, entered into eternal rest on November 13th, 2022, at the age of 73, after a long illness. Dear daughter of the late Arthur and Theresa (Skehan) Clooney. Beloved wife of Robert DeWitt Sr. Devoted mother of Kristine, Robert Jr, and Steven all of Braintree and Lynne Conley and her husband Bill of Rockland. Cherished grandmother of Kayla and Kyle of Braintree and William of Rockland. Loving sister of Marie Connell of Quincy, Dorothy Ryan and her husband Danny of Braintree, Patty Clooney of Dorchester, Robert Clooney and his wife Christine of So Weymouth, John Clooney of Weymouth, Michael Clooney of Braintree, and the late Arthur Clooney and sister-in-law of the late Jackie and Junie Clooney. Also survived by many adored nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews. Sister-in-law of Ed DeWitt and his wife Carole of Quincy, and Jack DeWitt and his wife Helen of Braintree. Loyal and caring friend to many in the Town of Braintree. Nana Kate was a dedicated and beloved follower of the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox. She was also Vice President of the Girls Softball at the Watson Park, Past Vice President of the Special Needs CCD, and president of the Sunday Morning Special Needs Bowling. She was very active in the Town of Braintree government in many capacities. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, November 16th, from 2:00PM – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 17th, at 11:00 AM in St. Claire’s Church, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree. Interment to follow at the Braintree Cemetery.
