CASTILLO, Sevilla Manuel, she was born in Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines on April 4, 1938. “Bella” to her siblings, she was the 3rd of 7 children by the late Marciana and Juan P. Manuel. She died peacefully on the morning of October 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren, at the age of 84. This followed a 7-year battle with ovarian cancer which she valiantly fought.
She reunites with her late husband Jose B. Castillo Jr., who passed away in May 2020.
Prior to migrating to the U.S. in 1992, Sevilla raised her beautiful family in the Philippines as a housewife and owned a small convenience store which she was fond of doing with her children. She worked at Holleywell Nursing Home in Randolph, MA. for more than 10 yrs. She was a devout Catholic who attended church every Sunday. “Nanay” (Mother in Filipino) to her children and her grandchildren, enjoyed cooking for her family and watching soap opera on the Filipino channel as her past time. She also enjoyed travelling to the Philippines yearly to re-connect with her roots.
Sevilla will be sorely missed and is survived by the following people closest to her heart:
Her nine children, Ronnie (Geraldine) of Orlando, Florida, Annie of Randolph, MA, Rizza (Lanny) of Brockton, MA, Edgar (Ophel) of Randolph, MA, Radelito (Hilma) of Randolph, MA, Laila (Edgar) of Newark, CA, Cherry (Miguel) of Kissimmee, FL, Joubelle (George) of Randolph, MA and Maria “Carla” (Jerome) of Brockton, MA. Grandchildren Kathy, John, Maria, Leeroy (Olga), Justin (Stephany), Nicole (Anthony), Annie, Leonard, Mark, Patrick, Shaun (Chelsea), Donnabella, Daniel, Chelsea, Kaila, David, Diana, Mabel, Tyrone, Jesse, Michelle, Kaitlyn and Chloe.
Great Grandchildren Elaiza, Vinz, Angelika, Lukas, James and Ace.
Her brother, Ludgerio of Hawaii and sisters, Concepcion (Jesse) of Virginia and Lourdes of New Jersey.
Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home 419 N. Main St. (RT28) Randolph until 9:45 am on Thursday Nov. 3rd, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am In St. Bernadette Church 1031 N. Main St. (RT28) Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8pm. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery 245 North St. Randolph.
