QUIMBY, Paul M., of Holbrook, formerly of Randolph, passed away on September 29, 2022, after a brief illness, at the age of 84. Born in Brockton, Paul grew up in Randolph and graduated from Stetson High School. He then proudly served his country in the United States Army. Paul worked as a welder at the General Dynamics plant in Quincy for many years until the shipyard closed for good. Later,” Smilin’Paul” could be found working along side his brother Jim, at Wright Brothers bowling alley.Devoted husband, father, papa, brother and friend, Paul will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Loving husband to the love of his life, the late Barbara A. (Blanchard) Quimby. Loving father of Paul M. Quimby, Jr. and his wife Karen of Brockton and Jo-Ann “Jody” Spearin of Randolph. Cherished papa of Ashley Worley and her husband Jordan of SC, Kyle Spearin and his wife Alicia of Dorchester and Kelsey Spearin, of Farmington Hills MI. Great grandfather of Nicholas Gonzalez. Devoted brother of James Quimby of FL, David Quimby of AL, Alice Austin of W. Wareham, Gail Guiliana of Buzzards Bay and the late Ann Hoeft, Dorothea Howland, Alfred Quimby and Barbara Quimby. Dear brother-in-law of “brother Frank” Hoeft of FL. Also survived by his son-in-law, David Spearin of Randolph, and many nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, services will be private, and a Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans, State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133.
