HELFER, David C., of Holbrook, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2022, at the age of 72. Born in Boston, David lived in Randolph and then moved to Holbrook in 1955. He lived in the family home most of his life and graduated from Holbrook High School, Class of 1968. David worked as a mechanic locally in service centers and at Sears. He built his own dirt bikes and ATV in his early years. David then went on to receive his license as a Registered Master in Electronics for Radio and TV, where he worked for over 30 years in this field. He worked for Holbrook TV and had his own business; Dave’s Repair Shop. He was a self-taught handy man, carpenter and was able to fix and build almost anything. David was an awesome uncle to Eric and Heather, whom he helped raise, as well as, a devoted son, brother, great uncle and friend. David will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. David was the son of the late George and Katherine (Murphy) Helfer. Devoted brother of George W. “Billy” Helfer, Jr. of Holbrook, Kathy Nydegger and her husband Bob of Huntington Beach, CA and Linda Helfer of Holbrook. Dear uncle of Eric W. Helfer and his wife Amelia and Heather J. Helfer. Great uncle to Jameson and Charlotte. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 19th at 12:00 Noon in St. Mary Cemetery, 245 North St., Randolph. Arrangements under the care of the Cartwright Funeral Home, Randolph.
