DEVINE, Renee M. (Dingee), of So. Boston, passed away peacefully, after a yearlong courageous battle, on October 5, 2022, at the age of 63. Born in Portsmouth, VA, Renee grew up in South Boston and graduated from Newman Prep High School. She continued her education by earning her degree from Chamberlyn School of Design in Fashion. Renee was a highly experienced legal secretary at the Law Offices of Foley Hoag, in their litigation department for close to 24 years. Her skills, expertise, and work ethic gained her the respect of her peers and the attorneys she supported. In her free time, Renee enjoyed music, traveling, gardening and anything Rocky Horror Picture Show related. She had a love for all animals and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. A devoted wife, sister, aunt and friend, Renee will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Renee was the wife of the late Sean Devine. Devoted sister of Lee Dingee and his wife Linda of Braintree and the late Stephen Dingee. Daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Harvey) Dingee and step-daughter of the late Nicholas Singelakis. She is also survived by Richard Devine and his wife Denise of Oakland Maine, Maureen Rounds and her husband Ronnie of Brentwood NH, Ellen Conley and her husband Mike of NH, Lorraine Devine and her husband Ken Cresta of Saugus MA and step daughter Noelle Veazie and husband Jay of Stoneham, MA. Renee is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff of the John Scott House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Braintree for their wonderful and compassionate care of Renee. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, October 12th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. Burial will be private.
