DYMENT, John R., of Holbrook, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on October 1, 2022, at the age of 72. Born in Boston, John grew up in Mission Hill and Randolph and graduated in the first graduating class of Blue Hills Regional Technical School. John worked as an auto mechanic and took great pride in his work. He served in the US Naval Construction Force as a Seabee from October 1969 through January 1972. John enjoyed vacationing in Aruba each year, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and helping other people any way he could. A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, John will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. He was the beloved husband of Arlene (Ford) Dyment. Loving father of Brian Dyment of ME, Jessica Dyment of MA, Rebecca Notre and her husband Alan of Longmeadow and Melissa Perreault and her husband Charles of Bedford, NH. Devoted brother of Richard Dyment of Norton and Bernadette “Bonnie” Dyment of Abington. Dear brother-in-law of Linda Peterson and her family of Canton. Cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn Dyment and Dominick Whipple, Victoria and Charlie Perreault, and Vivienne, Zack, and Kyle Notre. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Wednesday, October 12th from 8:30 – 10:30 AM at Cartwright Funeral Home, 68 So. Franklin Street, Holbrook. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 153 So. Franklin Street, Holbrook. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
