GORDON, Walter P. “Wally”, of Braintree, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on January 10, 2022, after a brief illness, at the age of 82. Born and raised in Boston, Walter graduated from Roxbury High School. He was a retired printer in the paper manufacturing business, where he had worked for over 20 years. An avid Boston sports fan, Walter could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He had a fondness for Castle Island and in his free time enjoyed fishing and listening to Johnny Cash. A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Walter will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Walter was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Ross) Gordon. Loving father of Laura Taylor and her husband Ray of Weymouth, Scott Gordon of Braintree and the late Karen Gordon. Devoted brother of Robert, Lenny, Lou, Al, Lowell, Cecelia, Richard, Harry and Rosie. Cherished grandfather, Bop-Bop, to Lillian Taylor and Caroline Gordon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Special Olympics, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough MA 01752.
