HUTCHINSON, Alfred J. “Hutch”, 73, passed away suddenly, on January 7th, 2022. A lifetime resident of Randolph, Hutch graduated from Randolph High School in 1966, attended Northeastern University and enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves to proudly serve his country. Hutch was proud to be a Randolph firefighter and rose to the rank of Deputy Chief until he retired in 1996. Hutch was also longtime member of the Randolph Elks Lodge #2130, where he made many of his closest friends. His favorites past times included traveling, spending time with close friends and especially spending time with his family, which meant the world to him. He was loved and will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him. Hutch was the beloved husband of Claire (Tantillo) Hutchinson. Loving father to James Hutchinson and his wife Lisa of North Attleboro, Holly Kelly of North Attleboro and his three granddaughters Julia, Brenna, and Erin. He was the son of the late James and Edith (Cole) Hutchinson of Randolph. He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Davidson of Magnolia, TX, Jayne Haack of East Andover, ME, and Joanne Finnell of Nokomis, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, January 11th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (RT. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 12th, at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 or www.firehero.org.
