PARRISH, Edward J. “Ed”, lifelong resident of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with PSP, a rare neurodegenerative disease, at the age of 68. He spent his last days surrounded by family and friends. Born in Boston, Ed graduated from Norfolk County Agricultural High School. He retired after a 35-year career as a driver with the Boston Globe and was a member of Local 25, formerly Local 259. Ed was a gifted mechanic and avid automotive enthusiast. He was known as the guy you could call in the middle of the night to help you with any car troubles. He enjoyed fly fishing with his brothers and camping with family and friends. He was also a longtime friend of Bill W.

Coming from a close-knit family, Ed was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, and friend. Ed will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Ed was the beloved husband of Bonnie (Howland) Parrish. Loving father of Meridith Piazza and her husband Andy of Manassas, VA, Michael Parrish of Allston, and Cory Sanchez of Holbrook. Cherished son of the late Joseph Parrish and Phyllis (McNeil) Parrish. Devoted brother of Lynne Cicchese and her late husband Rick of Bridgewater, Joyce Daly and her husband Bob of E. Bridgewater, Joseph Parrish and his late wife Susan of Holbrook, Stephen Parrish and his wife Kathy of Plympton, Bryan Parrish and his wife Nancy of Bridgewater, Kevin Parrish of Bridgewater, Lisa Duffy and her husband Paul of Bridgewater and Lesley Muscatiello and her husband Paul of Norton. Ed was lovingly known as “Woo Woo” by his grandchildren, Annabella and Aiden Piazza, as well as many of his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Saturday, January 15th, from 12:00 – 3:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (RT. 37), Holbrook. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00PM in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. The family has requested that masks be worn inside the funeral home.
