SULLIVAN, Helene P. (Bohan, 94, of Hull formerly of Holbrook, passed away on November 30, 2021. Wife of the late James Joseph Sullivan.

Helene was born at home in Jamaica Plain to Thomas and Catherine (Faherty) Bohan on January 8, 1927. She went to high school at Jamaica Plain High School and graduated in 1945 she worked early in her career in a bank, then raised her 7 children and went to work at Bradlees for 20 years. She was involved in St Joseph Parish the Josephine’s. Helene received her 20-year pin as an active member of the Josephine group. She enjoyed woodworking, ceramics, chair canning, singing, cake decorating. Helene’s special place to spend time was at Gunrock Beach in Hull, MA.

Helene is survived by her children Daniel Sullivan of Hull, Patricia (Patty) Sullivan of Hull, Kate (Sullivan) Martin, and her husband James of Weymouth, Scott Sullivan of Hull, John Sullivan and his wife Lori (Lentz) Sullivan of Brockton, Patrick Sullivan, and his wife Cheryl of Holbrook. daughter-in-law Eileen (Cheney) Sullivan. Helene is predeceased by her son James Joseph, Jr., her late grandson Michael James Hartery, and all of her amazing siblings, their spouses and lifelong friends.

Sister-in-law Barbara Sullivan of Dorchester and brother-in-law Daniel Sullivan of Pembroke. Also survived by, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Autumn Hospice, Queen Anne Nursing Home Staff, her main home caregivers Sandy Bloom, Noemi Dominques, Karen Mitchell, Bonita Carrasquillo, and all others who helped in her care. Helene Loved life and had a great belly laugh!

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 5th in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin Street, Holbrook 4-8 pm.
