CLANCY, Patti J. (Hess), of Avon, formerly of Boston, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on September 5, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer, at the age of 63. Born in Frederick, Maryland, Patti was raised and educated in Boston, graduating from Copley High School, class of 1975.

Beloved wife of 37 years of Philip Clancy. Loving mother of Kaila Clancy and her fiancé Jonathan Joiner of Quincy, Ashton Clancy and her boyfriend Jake McDermott of Stoughton, and Shaylin Clancy and her fiancé Michael Morse of Marshfield. Sister-in-law of Eleanor Dashner and husband Barry of Hyde Park and Lawrence Clancy and wife Bertha of Weymouth. Dear friend, who was more like a sister, Nancy Gallagher and husband Stephen of Stoughton. Patti is also survived by her brother Jeffrey, her sister Terri, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Patti liked watching the Food Network, true crime documentaries, and re-runs of her favorite show, “Friends”. Patti enjoyed spending time in her garden and was a lover of all animals, especially her beloved cat Dennis and fur-grandchildren Tonka, Tito, and Remi. She loved the holidays and enjoyed decorating the house for each one. Patti was an amazing mother to her three girls. She devoted her life to taking care of them and proudly did so. Patti was the best backstage dance mom anyone could ask for. She was also a big advocate for Type 1 Diabetes, doing whatever she could to help with the cause. Patti was a kind and loving person, who will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Saturday, September 11, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph.
