FERRAGAMO, Edward J. “Ed”, of Randolph, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness on August 31, 2021, at the age of 91. Born and raised in Revere, Ed graduated from Revere High School, where he was a standout football player. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Ed played on the Air Force football team and also earned the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal during his time in the service. Ed was a retired insurance salesman with Sentry Insurance where he had worked for over 20 years. In his free time, he was an avid billiards player. He also had a love for the game of golf and worked as a starter for many years at Pine Oaks Golf Club in Easton. Ed was an active member of several organizations, including the Kiwanis, VFW and the Knights of Columbus in Revere. A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Ed will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Ed was the beloved husband of Catherine “Kiki” (DeFrancesco) Ferragamo. Loving father of Edward Ferragamo and his wife Lorraine of Randolph, Mark Ferragamo and his wife Valerie of Quincy, Lisa Bruning and her husband Dennis of Abington and Susan Darrah and her husband Matt of Easton. Cherished grandfather of Jillian, Andrew, Michael, Samantha, Angela, Nico, and Tyler and great grandfather of Remmy and Harper. Son of the late Rose and Ralph Ferragamo. Ed was the last surviving sibling of 12 brothers and sisters. Also survived by his dear “Sister”, Dolly DeSantis of Revere and many other nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, September 7th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (RT. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, September 8th at 10:30 AM in St. Michael Church, 87 No. Main St., Avon. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 597 Randolph Avenue, Milton, MA 02186.
