SMITH, Allen Edward, 75, of Norfolk, VA. and Middleborough, MA. lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born in Brockton to the late Edward Carl Smith and the late Arlene Barbara (Hawes) Smith, Allen worked hard throughout his life to serve and guide those in need. From his service in the United States Army to EMT to security to driving trucks cross-country to driving school buses, he was always there to help anyone through just about anything. He also enjoyed his off time over the years, be it to tinker under a hood or elsewhere with his vast tool collection, SCUBA diving, playing golf, tending to his garden, or taking a ride on his beloved motorcycle, he knew how to enjoy life, regardless of the cards dealt to him, both literally and figuratively. He also served many years for the Color Guard and Honor Guard with the Norfolk Second District American Legion and the Plymouth American Legion.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Toni K (Isleb) Smith, 3 beautiful daughters, Kimberly Eldridge of Carver, MA, Kira Stiles of Raynham, MA, and Alicia Smith of E. Taunton, MA., one handsome son, David Smith and his wife Kirsten of Belmond, IA, 11 amazing grandchildren, and many wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his only brother, Kenneth Carl Smith, formerly of Panama City Beach, FL.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St., Randolph, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:30AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, 175 Staples St. East Taunton, MA.
