CALLAHAN, JR., William T. “Bill” of Holbrook, formerly of Cambridge, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2021, at the age of 72. Bill was born and raised in Cambridge. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. For many years, Bill worked in the Printers Union as a member of Teamster Local 25. He enjoyed taking rides in his convertible and being near the water. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and made friends wherever he went. Bill was a caring and helpful neighbor. He would do whatever he could for anyone who needed assistance with a project or task. Bill cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a kind man, who will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Beloved husband of Irene (Laskowski) Callahan. Loving father of Michelle Callahan-DuMont and her husband, Andrew DuMont, of Arizona and Kevin Callahan of South Boston. Dear son of the late William T. and Marie (Ryan) Callahan. Devoted brother of Thomas Callahan and his wife, Kathy, of Onset; Patricia Keddy and her husband, Bill, of Revere; and Maryjane Abbott and her husband, Paul, of Winthrop. Bill is also survived by his granddaughter, Violet DuMont, whom he loved with all his heart, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 20th from 4:00 -8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 S. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook, MA 02343. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 21st at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 153 S. Franklin St., Holbrook, MA 02343. Burial will be private.
