STEVENS, Lillian C. (Banda), of Plymouth, formerly of Holbrook passed on August 12, 2021 One day shy of her 92nd Birthday, in her Son David and his wife Gail’s home where she resided for over 10 years. Lillian was born on August 13, 1929 to Charles and Catherine (O’Brian) Banda.

Lillian grew up in Randolph and graduated from Stetson High School. Lillian and our Dad, Thomas, were married 52 years until his passing in 2002 at the age of 74. In addition to raising her three children, Lillian worked at Milton Hospital for 25 years as an executive secretary until her retirement. Lillian lived in Holbrook for 55 years.

Lillian and Tom traveled many places including other countries, but their favorite place was Bermuda. They went there every year, at the same time, and stayed at the same place (During Hurricane season).
She enjoyed reading local newspapers and doing puzzles, along with spending time watching the birds on the bird feeders and at the bird bath in our backyard.

Lillian will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. She was a kind and loving woman who will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Stevens. Loving Mother of David Stevens and his wife Gail of Plymouth, Karen Santos of Fall River, Kathy Stevens of Pembroke. Devoted Nana of Teresa Morgan and Husband Justin of Florida, Jessica Santos of Somerset, Jillian Santos from Maine, Eric Stevens and his wife Susette from Florida, Brian Baker of N Chelmsford and Cristina Baker and soon to be husband Michael Hutton of Falmouth and “Great”Nana to Olivia, Josie, Andrew, Hannah, Joseph and Gage. Sister Ellen Zizzo the late Caroline Banda, the late Theresa Holbrook, and Also survived by many nieces, nephews

She and our Dad set a great example of what being good Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles should emulate to be. She is loved and will be missed, but like our Dad, always in our hearts and mind, as will be the life’s lessons we learned from them.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Wednesday, August 25th from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (RT. 37), Holbrook. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 153 So. Franklin St., Holbrook. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Holbrook. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lillian can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
