Phyllis grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School where she met and then married her husband, Donald. Phyllis and Donald made their family home in Holbrook and were married for 66 years.
Phyllis attended the School of Practical Art, later known as the Art Institute of Boston. She had many artistic interests throughout her lifetime. Phyllis was a gifted artist known for her paintings and scrimshaw. She loved fashion, sewing, dressmaking and home decor. Even as a young mother, she took much pride in her five children and loved making clothes for them. She spent many years taking care of her family while also working outside the home. Phyllis and Don retired to Spring Hill, FL where they enjoyed golfing and spent 30 happy years.
Phyllis will be remembered for her loving kindness and patient, gentle spirit. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a peaceful, quiet strength that endured.
