DAVIS, Joseph J. "Joe", longtime resident of Holbrook, MA, passed away on July 27, 2021 at the age of 82. Son of the late Daniel Davis, Senior and Margaret E. (Briscoe) Davis of Jamaica Plain, MA. Loving long-time partner and companion to Rita Dombrowski of Randolph, MA. Devoted and loving father to Alice Coleman and her husband Jim of Bridgewater, MA; Patricia Jabotte (and the late Michael W. Jabotte) of Holbrook, MA; Donald Davis of Randolph, MA; Pamela Craig and her husband Alan of Holbrook, MA. Loving grandfather of James Coleman, Jr., Joseph W. Jabotte, Crystal Craig and Charlene Craig. Brother of Daniel Davis, Jr. of Waltham, MA, Margaret (Davis) Dunbar of Fairfax, VA, Dorothy (Dot Davis) Barrett of Corapeake, NC, and the late Richard Davis of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by many loving and devoted nieces and nephews.

He was a dedicated family man and spent his career working as a Metallurgist for 30 years at Man Labs, then at Alcan and American Superconductor in Boston, MA. Joseph was a long-time dedicated member of the American Legion Post-Dalton Club in Holbrook, MA. He enjoyed supporting fellow veteranís and marching in the annual Memorial Day town parade. He was also a Boy Scout Leader for Troupe 13. Since retirement, Joseph enjoyed spending his free time with his children and grandchildren and regaling them with stories of the adventures from his youth, his travels overseas whilst serving in the United States Air Force and sharing the familyís history. He was always our rock, our firmest supporter and biggest fan.

A private Memorial Service with close family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 4th at 11:00AM at Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 South Franklin Street, Holbrook, MA. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, August 4th from 9:00 -11:00 AM at Cartwright Funeral Home in Holbrook. A private Interment and Funeral Service will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josephís memory to the Wounded Warrior Project https://supportwoundedwarriorproject.org
