Born in Quincy, on April 15, 1946 to the late Kenneth and Marion (Ciardi) Schneider. Ken was raised and educated in Holbrook, graduating Holbrook High School, Class of 1964 before furthering his education at Bridgewater State College.
As many in his family before him, Ken proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a tech during the Vietnam War.
Ken carried those skills he learned in the military into his career. He worked for more than 30 years in telecommunications. From the days of Bell Telephone to Verizon, Ken oversaw most of New England.
A highly intelligent man in many fields, Ken loved to learn about anything and everything he could. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades and was very talented at most things he came across.
Ken lived a long, full life, filled with experiences and memories that will last forever in those that he knew and those that loved him.
Ken is survived by his sons Michael and Nicholas of Holbrook and 3 granddaughters, Allyson, Aubrey and Ashley. He is also survived by his siblings Carol, Pam and Russell.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, July 16th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 S. Franklin St., Holbrook. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 17th, at 12:30 PM in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Burial will be private.
