LEAVITT, Lisa M. (Carroll), of Braintree, passed away unexpectedly, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family on June 18, 2021, at the age of 59. Born in Cambridge, Lisa grew up in Braintree and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School. She earned her nursing degree from Laboure College and furthered her nursing studies at Emmanuel College. She worked for many years as a nurse both at the Carney Hospital and her father’s medical practice in Dorchester. Lisa was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed a wide range of music. In her free-time she enjoyed gardening, concerts, golfing and kayaking or just being on the water. She was an active member of the Braintree community, having coached several youth sports teams in the town. Of all her passions, Lisa was most happy when spending time with her family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Lisa will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Lisa was the beloved wife of Edward (Ted) Leavitt. Loving mother of Aidan Jeremiah Leavitt of Braintree. Dear daughter of Dorothy Carroll and the late Dr. Mitchell Carroll of Milton, and daughter-in-law of David Noel and Judith Ann Leavitt of Falmouth. Devoted sister of Judith Ann Carroll of Milton, Susan Anne Gill and her husband Robert of Braintree, Mitchell David Carroll and his wife Francine of Stoneham and Nancy Mari Trotta and her husband Vincenzo of Braintree. Sister-in-law of Karen Marie Tomsheck and her husband Dennis of Stratford, CT and Noelle Christine Studley of Rochester. Cherished aunt to Madeline, Benjamin, Amelia and Samuel Trotta, Mitchell and Grace Carroll, Andrew Gill, Haley and Matthew Tomsheck and Cooper and Sydney Studley. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her beloved dog “Luna”. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 24th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 25th at 11:30 AM in St. Clare Church, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree. Burial will follow in the Milton Cemetery, Milton.
