CUMMINGS, Elizabeth T. “Betty” “Lizzie” (Carey) of Kingston, formerly of Braintree, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 86. Born in Killorglin, County Kerry, Ireland, Betty was raised in educated in Ireland before coming to the United States in 1952. Shortly thereafter, she met and married the love of her life, Lawrence F. Cummings, Sr. They went on to raise 4 wonderful children. Betty enjoyed the time that she spent with Larry at the Irish Village and dancing to Irish music. Lizzie loved to bake and was known for her famous Irish Bread. She was an avid walker and was always staying active. Lizzie cherished her annual trip to Lake Winnipesaukee with the family for the last 30 years. She loved the time she spent with her family, especially helping raise all 10 grandchildren. Betty was a kind and loving woman who will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence F. Cummings, Sr. Loving mother of Noreen Jordan and her husband Don of Holbrook, Kathleen Cummings of Naples, FL, Lynda Schablik and her husband Peter of Marshfield and Lawrence F. Cummings, Jr., and his wife Ginny of Kingston. Cherished grandmother of Gregory, Lauren, Matthew, Steven, Bonnie, Danny, Michael, Elizabeth, Drew and Larry. Lizzie is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and one more on the way. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 9th, at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Rd, Milton. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery, Milton. Covid - 19 protocols will be in effect, including face coverings and social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
