JACQUES, Robert C. “Bob”, of Middleboro, formerly of Weymouth and South Boston, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 82. Born in So. Boston, Bob was raised in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. He then went on to study at the University of West Virginia. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Bob had a 35-year career as a court reporter where he spent most of his career in both Middlesex and Suffolk Superior Courts. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and traveling and he was an active member of the Oak Point Train Club. A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Robert was the beloved husband of E. Muriel (McElroy) Jacques. Loving father of Suzette E. Jacques of E. Freetown, Leo S. Jacques and his wife Gay of Norton, Gidgette M. Farrell and her husband William of Rockland, Debra King of Brockton, Richard King of NH and the late Annette M. Livesey and her late husband Dennis. Devoted brother of Richard S. Jacques of Boynton Beach, FL and Daniel J. Jacques of Mashpee. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, which include face coverings, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity, those attending will be asked to pay their respects and depart to allow the next guests to enter the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, March 16th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (RT. 37), Holbrook. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 17th in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook.
