MARTIN, John L. “Johnny”, of Randolph, formerly of Southie, passed away after a long illness, joining his two children in heaven, on March 5, 2021, at the age of 71. Born and raised in Boston, Johnny graduated from So. Boston High School. Johnny was taken under his brother-in-law, Richie Belmonte’s wing, who mentored and worked alongside of him and his two brothers as a member of the Iron Workers, Local 7 in Boston, where he worked for over 30 years. John was an avid sports fan and collected baseball cards and you could often hear him rooting on his favorite Boston sports teams in front of the television. He loved to travel and cherished the trips he had with the kids to Disney World. John was always bigger than life and the life of the party. He enjoyed teasing and joking with his family and got the most joy out of making them laugh. A devoted husband, father, brother, god father, uncle, cousin and friend, Johnny will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Johnny was married to his beloved wife, Catherine M. (Gagne) Martin for 45 years. Loving father of the late Johnny Martin and Kelly Martin. Son of the late Delaine and Wanda Martin and son-in-law of the late Edmond and Marie Gagne. Devoted brother of Wanda Manning and her husband Roger of FL, Billy Czolada and his wife Sue of FL, Jimmy Czolada and his wife Laura of Hanover, the late Sally Belmonte and her husband Richie Belmonte of So. Boston, the late Jayne Czolada and Denise Anderton of Norwell. Dear God Father to Daniel Manning of So. Boston and Scott Czolada. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, March 11th at 1:00 PM in St. Mary Cemetery, 245 North St., Randolph.
