CAPECE, Rita A. (Flanagan), of Randolph, formerly of Roslindale, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2021, at the age of 81. Born in Boston, Rita grew up in Roslindale and graduated from Roslindale High School. Rita was a woman who people were drawn to. Her infectious smile and great sense of humor was endearing to both family and friends. She had a trusting and confidant way about herself that made everyone around her comfortable and at ease. She was a proud member of the Randolph VFW for many years and in her free time enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend, Rita will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Rita was the wife of the late Charles A. Capece. Loving mother of Charles Capece, Jr. of Randolph, Phyllis Bowie and her husband Robert of Pembroke, John Capece of Weymouth, James Capece and his wife Beverly of Easton and William Capece and his wife Joanne of Mansfield. Daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel Flanagan. Devoted sister of Elmer Flanagan of NH, Thomas Flanagan of Walpole, Charles Flanagan of NC, James Flanagan of Quincy, Roger Flanagan of Hanson, William Flanagan of Dedham and the late John, Robert and Paul Flanagan. Beloved Grandma to Christopher, Danielle, Joseph, Olivia, Jared, Paige, Bradley, Jeffrey, Molly, Maria and Anthony and adoring “GiGi” to Jackson, Alexander and Nora. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, which include face coverings, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation period on Friday, February 12th from 9:30 – 11:30 AM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St (Rt. 28), Randolph. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary Church, Randolph and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, c/o the Leukemia and Lymphoma Center, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215-5450 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
