POOR, Ronald R. “Farmer” “Uncle Bub”, of Holbrook, formerly of Brockton and Weymouth, passed away on January 16, 2021, at the age of 64. He was born in Boston and he worked for the Boston Home, Inc., in Dorchester, for almost 40 years before retiring. He was a “jack of all trades” who could build or fix anything. He was an avid sports fan and memorabilia collector. Farmer was a proud and long-time member of the Three Stooges Fan Club. Farmer was also a huge animal lover, who often took in stray dogs that were abandoned. He was happiest spending time with his wife and his two dogs in their yard who he affectionately always referred to all three as “HIS GIRLS”. His favorite thing to do with his girls in the yard was build a fire and play fetch. Farmer was a frequent flyer at Dylan’s Pub and Protector’s Club in Brockton as well as the Whitman Legion, Post 22 in Whitman. Farmer will be missed by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen E. (Olsen) Poor and his two cherished German Shepherds, Gemma and Kota. Loving son of the late Herbert W. and Mary J. Poor. Devoted brother to the late William W. Poor. Farmer was also survived by many family members and friends. A private Funeral Service will be held to honor Farmer’s life. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when it is socially safe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Farmer’s name to MSPCA - Angell. Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
