MANLEY, Anne R. “Nancy” (Slyne), of Needham, formerly of Milton, Braintree, and Tampa, FL, passed peacefully at home on December 13, 2020, surrounded by family, at the age of 86. Anne, known as Nancy to her friends, was a devoted wife and mother. She raised 5 children with her husband Albert in Braintree MA. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital and worked as a nurse for many years. Anne was also an avid knitter and golfer. She was a long time member at Wollaston Golf club and was the Womens’ Club Champion for many years. Nancy was the wife of the late Albert Manley. She is survived by her sons, James Manley and his wife Christine of Tampa, FL , Edward Manley and his wife Marilyn of Spartanburg, SC and William Manley and his wife Rebecca of Newton, MA and her daughter Donna Manley and her husband Joseph Sullivan of Newton, MA. She was predeceased by her daughter Dianne Manley DeMarco. One of the joys of Anne’s life was spending time with her 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She leaves her Sister Edna Mancias of Alexandrea, VA, her Brother William Slyne of Silver Spring, MD, and son-in law Daniel Demarco of Tampa, FL. She was predeceased by her siblings Timothy Slyne, Shelia Ritchie and Maureen Heath. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private burial will be held for family. Anne was a longtime supporter of MEDA Inc, Newton, MA and The Mancias Lab for Cancer Research at Dana Farber. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to these worthy non-profit organizations.
