CERTO, Antonietta (DiBenedetto) of Braintree, formerly of Argentina and Italy, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 7, 2020 at the age of 86. Antonietta was born and raised in Abruzzo, Italy. She met her husband Rosario in Italy, after getting married they then moved to Argentina where they began to raise their family. At the age of 45, Antonietta moved her family to the United States to make a better life for them. She was full of life and loved music and dancing. Antonietta was a wonderful cook who loved to share what she created. She was a kind and caring woman, who was always giving to others. Antonietta was happiest spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all, Antonietta will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Beloved wife of the late Rosario Certo. Loving mother of Leonora Colacitti and her husband Salvatore, Lillian Leone and her husband Salvatore and Franco Certo and his wife Sandra. Dear daughter of the late Camilo and Angela (DiAlevo) DiBenedetto. Devoted sister of Maria Paolino and the late Gentulina Micolucci, Rosa Nasuti, Nicola DiBenedetto and Domingo DiBenedetto. Cherished grandmother of Marco Leone, Davide Leone, Roberto Marinaro, Daniel Marinaro and Angela Belmonte. Caring great-grandmother of Mason Marinaro, Maddox Marinaro and Mia Belmonte. In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, which include face coverings, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, December 14th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 15th at 12:00 PM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Burial will follow in Braintree Cemetery, Plain St., Braintree. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Antonietta’s name to the American Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate/memorial-giving.html
