CURRY, Richard C. “Dick”, of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2020, at the age of 73. Born and raised in Quincy, Dick graduated from Quincy High School, Massasoit College and attended Northeastern University. Dick worked as a metal fabricator at the New Can Co. in Holbrook for 13 years and he had previously worked for The Foxboro Co. and Ocean Spray. Dick was a proud member of the Teamsters Union, Local #653. He was an avid history buff and was a member of several historical societies. Dick was a special and generous friend who was loved by all. He was always quick with a story or a joke. A devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, Dick will live in the hearts of all who knew him forever. Dick was the beloved husband of Judy (Calabro) Curry for 45 years. Son of the late Richard and Agnes (Gallo) Curry. Devoted brother of Colleen McAlduff of Weymouth, Patrick Curry of FL and the late Mary Trotman and Billy Curry. Also survived by his loving buddy, “Casper” the cockatoo. Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held in the Braintree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dick’s memory to the Standish Humane Society, 622 Congress St #3113, Duxbury, MA 02332. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
