Henri was born in Cap-Ha´tien, Ha´ti. He was the son of the late Joseph Acacia and Ursula Scharoun. He was raised with his sisters: Bernadette Hamilton, Marlene Wells and Denise Jean-Charles. He came to the United States in his youth to reunite with his mom & sisters and further his education. Henri studied and graduated from Northeastern University. His entire career was devoted to Boston Medical Center where he ultimately retired.
Henri enjoyed classical music and sports. He loved to see people get together. Henri always looked forward to family reunions and church gatherings. He was a faithful member of CrossPointe Church, formerly Edgewood, in Mansfield, MA, which was a second family to him. Henri was easy going and willing to join in. Younger family members will most likely remember his amusing witticisms.
Henri Acacia will be dearly missed by many. He left behind his wife Pierrette Acacia. Henri is survived by his son Henry C Acacia, Jr; his daughters Rachel Acacia, Cassandra Acacia, Delphine Belleza Santana-Ruiz and Alexandria Acacia. His legacy continues through his granddaughter Samaya Acacia.
