LITTLEJOHN, Gloria A. (Thrower) of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, passed away on September 14, 2020 at the age of 91. Born and raised in Braintree, Gloria graduated from Braintree High School. For many decades, she worked for New England Telephone in Braintree and Fall River, where she was the first female union leader; and later working at State Street Bank and Trust in Quincy until retirement. In her free time, Gloria loved to paint, exercise and play cards with friends. She enjoyed listening daily to the radio talk shows on WBZ Radio. Gloria was active in the Braintree Police Wives Association and supported the Perkins School for the Blind. She was happiest when spending time with her family and friends, whom she so truly loved. Gloria was a kind and loving woman who will sorely be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Wife of the late Thomas A. Littlejohn. Loving mother of Karin Ann Recupero and her significant other, Leo Herlihy of Duxbury; Bonnie Lee Howland and her husband Mark of Kahuku, Hawaii; niece & like-a-daughter Laurie Golbranson and her husband Colby of Plymouth; the late Carolyn Patricia DeOliveira and her husband Frank of Pawtucket RI and Jaqueline Holly Fisher of Taunton. Devoted sister of the late James Thrower and John Thrower. Devoted aunt of Jeffrey Thrower of WA; Jackie and his wife Donna Thrower of Plymouth; Susan Thrower of Methuen; Terence Thrower of Florida; and Kathy Thrower of Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of Christine Egan and her husband George of Kingston; Shannon Jablonski of New Bedford; Caitlin Coska and her husband Jon of Maile, HI; Kristian Howland of Tokyo Japan; Kerri Tracy & her fiancée Matthew Gomez of Cranston RI; Sean DeOliveira and his significant other Lindsey English of Manchester, NH; Kevin DeOliveira and his wife Shaileen of Pawtucket RI; Neil Fisher of Rumford, RI; Jennifer Morton and her husband Jim of Connecticut; Christin Jahnke & her husband Doug of Rhode Island; Heather DeOliveira of Rhode Island; and the late Bryan Spano and his wife Suzanne of Virginia. Gloria is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
