ROMELUS, Marcel, of Brockton, formerly of Randolph, FL and Haiti, passed away on May 17, 2020, at the age of 75. Born and raised in Jeremie, Haiti, Marcel was a professor in Haiti for many years. After his retirement from teaching, he came to the U.S. and worked as a taxi driver. He would eventually return to his homeland in Haiti and become a farmer, growing all kinds of agricultural products. Marcel was also a talented musician and played guitar and sang in a band. He was a big fan of country music, but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. A devoted father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, Marcel will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Marcel was the loving father of Pierre Marcel Romelus and his wife Yinka of Brockton, Mesmine Romelus of Brockton, Dova Romelus of Brockton and Rudy Romelus of FL. Devoted brother of Lina Romelus, Lucien Romelus, Kelita Romelus and her husband, and Jean Claude Paul and his wife, all of Haiti. Cherished grandfather to Jamar Romelus Olivier, Christopher Barthelemy, Nyla Agyeman-Duah, Giselle Romelus and Dovson Balthazar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Marcelís family will honor and remember his life privately at a graveside service at St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
