Helen is survived by her four children; Kimmarie and Joseph Lopes of Manomet, Massachusetts; Brian and Wendi Copello of Erie, Colorado; Paula Swett of Lafayette, Colorado; and Kerry Ann and Steven Coburn of Lake Mary, Florida. She enjoyed 6 grandchildren, Anthony Potenza, Andrew Potenza, Eric Coon, Brian Coburn, Eli Copello, and Bryce Swett, and was blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Kenzi Marie Coburn, Finley Rose Coburn, Callie Diane Coburn, and Eric James Coon.
Helen was born the daughter of Francis J. and Helen M. O’Brien, graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School in 1956, and married Francis A. Copello in 1960. She is best known for her dedication to her family and faith, raising her four children, while balancing a full-time work schedule. She retired from public service in 2004, serving with the Boston Air Procurement Office, the Carver Town Hall Assessors Office for many years, followed by a career in support of Carver’s Office of Emergency Management.
