WHITE, Lois A. (Marks), of West Dennis, formerly of Milton and Braintree, passed away after a long, hard fight, on January 6, 2020, at the age of 87. She was blessed to have had her daughter Judy and granddaughter Lauren care for her while she spent her last days at home. Born and educated in Milton, she worked as a Legal Secretary at Hale and Door in Boston, where she met the love of her life, an IBM salesman who was servicing typewriters. Bill and Lois married in 1955, and started to raise a family in Braintree. After retirement, she moved to West Dennis Cape Cod, enjoying her days by the ocean. Lois has a big heart, always giving to others. She was generous to fault. Lois could make you mad and laugh, all at the same time. She was set in her ways, and liked things just so. Lois looked forward to her afternoon cocktail and cigarette. She was a fantastic cook and always saved the left overs. Lois loved to entertain but enjoyed being at home. She belonged to the Braintree Art Club, specializing in pastels and drawing. Lois had a love for cats and fed all the animals in the neighborhood with those leftovers she saved. She enjoyed watching classic TV sitcoms and movies. Lois was very proud of her family, always sharing photos and telling stories about all the great things they were doing. She never missed sending out a card for birthdays and anniversaries. Lois was a kind, caring woman who will be sorely be missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
