OBERLANDER, James “Jimmy” “Obie”, of Canton, formerly of Randolph, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2019, at the age of 58. Born in Boston, Jimmy was raised and educated in Randolph. A talented ball player, Jim played for many Randolph Baseball Teams during his school years, and continued his passion throughout his life playing on multiple softball teams. He worked at Coca Cola for over 25 years and had many friends there. Jimmy had a love for animals, politics, and history, and was an avid Boston sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the New England Patriots. Jimmy loved physical fitness and getting out for a bike ride whenever possible with his sweetheart, Maureen. He was a caring and kind man with an amazing sense of humor and will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Loving companion of Maureen (McCarthy) Bamberry. Dear son of the late Walter and Rita (Crowley) Oberlander. Devoted brother of Paul Oberlander of Norfolk and Stephen Oberlander and his wife Jeanne of Abington. Caring Uncle of Kristina Oberlander and Kimberly Oberlander. Jimmy is also survived by many other family members and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Sunday, January 12th, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph. Burial will be private. Jimmy was such a generous and giving man to so many different causes, should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy’s name to the charity of your choice.
