SULLIVAN, John J. “Sully”, of Abington, formerly of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 73. Born and raised in Boston, John graduated from Roslindale High School and received his Associate’s Degree from Newbury College. John Proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. John is a retired body shop supervisor at the MBTA, where he worked for over 25 years. In his free time, John had a passion for classic cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, attending car shows and hanging out with his friends at Dunkin Donuts. However, spending time with his grandchildren is what brought him the most joy. John was the loving father of John Sullivan and his wife Bridget and Michelle Finn and her husband Jim all of Rockland. Dear “Papa” to Jack and Megan Sullivan and Logan and Nola Finn. Devoted brother of Donna Cheever of Halifax, James Sullivan of Easton and the late Arthur Willett, Evelyn Donnelly and Robert Willett. Son of the late John J. and Marie L. (Weitz) Sullivan of Boston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Visiting Hours on Thursday, May 9th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (RT 37), Holbrook. Burial will be on Friday, May 10th at 10:30 AM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
