Marie-Jose was a devoted Catholic who was known for practicing her Marian devotions and novenas. She was a skilled cook and immaculate homemaker, renowned for her hospitality and special recipes for traditional Haitian dishes. Known as Mummy Fifi to her intimates because of her motherly fussing, Marie-Jose was ever the lady. She insisted on propriety and impeccable dress and presentation in all settings. Out of her largesse, Marie-Jose contributed to the education and advancement of numerous beneficiaries over the years.
Marie-Jose was a loyal confidante and loving caretaker to countless souls who will miss her sorely. She is survived by her sons, Wladimir Sterling (and wife Nadege), as well as Reginald Sterling. Both sons reside in Brockton, MA. Loving grandmother of Clarisse Sterling. Devoted sister of Fritzner Garnier, Mimose Chery-Kaba, Myrlande Numa Chery, and the late Berthony Numa and Magaly Numa LaPointe Also survived by numerous cousins, including Myrlande Zamor and many nieces, nephews and godchildren, including Keinah Lapointe. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 26th, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St., (Rt. 28) Randolph. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 27th, at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman Street, Brockton. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
