Wherever James lived, he became fast friends with his neighbors. He loved a good, long conversation, a loud laugh and was always there to help anyone. He was passionate about politics and found humor in every part of life. His one liners and wit will never be forgotten. James was the proudest father and an even prouder "Gramps." He adored spending time with his grandchildren. Gramps cheered on Ezra on as he rode his bike and he enjoyed kicking a soccer ball with Grayson and Maisie. Loving father of Justin McMenamin and his partner Rubina Husain of Florence, Jessica Wrightington and her husband Tim of Bridgewater and Brian McMenamin and his wife Katie of Middleboro. Dear son of the late James McMenamin Sr. and Elizabeth McMenamin. Devoted brother of Leah Abbott-Stewart and her husband John Stewart and late husband Richard Abbott of Hanover, Elizabeth Climo and her husband Frederick of Bridgewater and Louis McMenamin of Whitman. Dear grandfather of Ezra, Grayson and Maisie. Also survived by ex-wife Donna McMenamin of Plymouth and many loved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Visiting Hours on Monday, February 18th from 5:00 – 6:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook.
