RECKLEY, Mikael B., of Revere, formerly of Somerville, passed away on January 16, 2019, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 44. Born in Long Branch, NJ, Mikael grew up in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School, where he was the captain of the football and track teams. After high school, Mikael graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1996, where he also played football for the Army Black Knights football team. Mikael served 5 years in the Air Defense Artillery. His service included deployments to both Bosnia and Kosovo. As a civilian, Mikael succeeded in the construction management business, working with Turner Construction for nearly 10 years and as a Regional Marketing Manager with Procore Technologies. Most recently as Director of Customer Success for a high tech startup company. In his free time, he was an avid sports fan and a huge Star Wars fan. A devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, Mikael will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Mikael was the beloved husband of Julieanna McClean. Loving son of Barry and Virginia Reckley of Randolph. Devoted brother of Christina Flint and her husband Panashe of Halifax. Dear uncle to Brianna and Paige and great uncle to Camden. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Visiting Hours on Friday, January 25th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph. Funeral Services and Burial will be Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the St. Francis House, 39 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02116. Mikael wishes your life be filled with Love, Peace, Strength and Courage to live each day to the fullest and “May the Force Be with You!”
