McCARTHY, Thomas J. “Tommy”, lifelong resident of Randolph, passed away on January 3, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 53. Born in Dorchester and raised in Randolph, Tommy was a graduate of Randolph High School, Class of 1984. He was known for his fun sense of humor, lightheartedness, and quick wit. He grew up playing hockey, loved golf and motorcycles, and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams with friends and family. A devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Tom will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Tommy was the loving companion of Daina Douglas of Plymouth. Loving father of Thomas Douglas of Plymouth. Dear son of John and Margaret (Sheehan) McCarthy of Randolph. Devoted brother of Daniel McCarthy of Randolph, Maureen Bamberry of Westwood and John McCarthy of Randolph. Uncle of Meagan McCarthy and Emily Bamberry. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, January 7th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 8th at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 211 No. Main St., Randolph. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
