BENVIE, Edmund F. of Randolph formerly of Holbrook, passed away December 27, 2018 after a long period of failing health. Ed was born in Holbrook where he grew up, went to school and graduated from Sumner High School in Holbrook. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years as a steel worker at Bethlehem Steel. Ed later worked as the custodian at the Randolph Town Hall (Stetson Building). He enjoyed his yard and loved his grandchildren. Edmund was 86 years old. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Crowell) Benvie. Loving father of Edmund Benvie and his wife Kathleen of Pembroke, Keith Benvie and his wife Ruth of Plymouth and Glenn Benvie and his wife Lippy of Hanson. Devoted brother of the late Peter, Paul, Alex, Gordon and Pervis(Sonny) Benvie, Irene Cummings and Anne Anderson. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St. Randolph. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial in Central Cemetery, Randolph.
