SINGLER, Carol H. (Sebring), life-long resident of Braintree, passed away peacefully in her home on December 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 80. Born in Quincy, Carol was raised in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School. She later went on to earn her Associate’s Degree from Newbury College. She retired in 2001 after 28 years working for the corporate headquarters of Dunkin Donuts, where she was in charge of assisting franchisees with the opening of new stores. During her retirement, Carol enjoyed painting and gardening, volunteering at the Thayer Public Library and traveling and cruising with her husband, Richard. She was a member of the Weymouth/Braintree Elks for many years. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed rooting for all the Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. She loved spending time with her family on Cape Cod and was the family Scrabble Champion. A devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Carol will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Carol was the beloved wife of Richard Singler. Loving mother of William Singler and his wife Susan of Holbrook, Jeffrey Singler and his wife Joye of Braintree and the late David Singler. Devoted sister of Marcia Flaherty of Whitman, William Sebring of Milton, Steven Sebring of Braintree, Nancy Brooks of VA and the late Lynis Masiello. Dear “Gramma” to Jeffrey Singler and Jennifer Singler and “Gigi Ma” to Kayleigh, Brady and Joseph. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. At the request of the family funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to the Jimmy Fund, c/o the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
