MARTINO, Mary E. (Meno) of Brockton formerly of Dorchester passed away surrounded by her loving family December 7, 2018 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of Richard P. Martino and loving mother of Margaret Martino-Joyner and her husband Charles Joyner of Brockton, Patricia Martino of Hanover, the late Richard Martino and Mary Elizabeth Martino. Dear sister of Sr. Mary Frances Meno, Carmelite Order. Dear Nana to Antonette Martino, Richard Joyner, Terence Joyner, Samantha Dwyer and Joel Dwyer and Great Grandmother of A’Taydro Martino, Glynn Jackson, Gianni Jackson and Arya Joyner. Mary was born in Boston and grew up in Dorchester and has lived in Brockton for the past 52 years. She worked as a radiographer at Mass General Hospital and Randolph Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed traveling, loved the ocean and her trips to the casino. She volunteered her time as a C.C.D. teacher and Girl Scout Leader and was an accomplished seamstress. She was also known for her selfless acts and her sense of humor for saying everything was “beigy gold” and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her.
Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 68 So. Franklin St., Holbrook, MA 02343 until 9:15 AM Saturday followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Forsyth Chapel at Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave., Boston MA 02130. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will take place Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
