RAGUSA, Lorraine passed peacefully from this life with family members by her side in Easton, Maryland on Friday, November 23, 2018. She was born in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, on April 25, 1931, the eldest daughter of Joseph and Yvonne Auclair originally from Granby, Quebec, Canada. In high school she was very talented at playing the violin and frequently performed with the school orchestra. Upon graduation she worked as a secretary for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company in Boston until she met and married her husband John Ragusa in 1957. She appreciated fine music throughout her life and with her husband, John, and a number of dedicated friends performed with a traveling music troupe called the Belles and Beaux who perform to this day free of charge to entertain in nursing homes and veterans hospitals . She was also an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies' Sodality and the Josephine's , a women's charitable organization for many years. When her beloved husband of 59 years died in April , 2016 , she moved from her long time home in Holbrook to Bayleigh Chase Assisted Living, where she lived the remainder of her life and enjoyed arts and crafts, music and singing, as well as many social activities. She leaves behind her daughter, Janet Hayn and her husband, Jack, her son, William and his husband, Mark Jester, Jr., her grandson, Thomas Cressman and his wife, Linda, her great grand children Dennis and Brynn, her grandson Andrew Cressman and his wife Mary Faith, and her grandson, Joseph Cressman. She is also survived by her sisters, Annette, Cecile, and Nancy, and her brothers, Armand, Gerard, Roger, and Robert, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday November 28, 2018 from 3pm to 7pm in the Cartwright Funeral Home 68 South Franklin Street, Holbrook, MA. Family and friends with gather at the funeral home Thursday morning, November 29, 2018, at 9:15 AM for the procession to St. Joseph Church, Holbrook MA for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. A graveside service following immediately at Union Cemetery, Union Street in Holbrook.
