SULLIVAN, Arthur “Joe”, 71, of Georgetown, Texas; formerly of Braintree, MA. and Eddington, ME, passed away on November 17, 2018 after an 18 year long battle with prostate cancer and kidney disease. He was born on November 2, 1947, in Boston, MA, to Arthur E. Sullivan and Helen R. (Donahue) Sullivan. Brother to Paul F. Sullivan who preceded him in death.

Joe grew up in Quincy, MA and attended Quincy Public Schools. He then went on to receive his Associates degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. He was a respected mechanical engineer and retired after 44 years of loyal service with Siemens Corporation.

Joe’s memory is kept alive by his devoted wife of 45 years to Regina (Burke) Sullivan. His two loving daughters, Kerri Cooksey with husband, Andrew Shane Cooksey; their beautiful children, Piper and Ryan; and Karen Sullivan with boyfriend, Francisco Moreno. Joe is also survived by his many cousins and other family members. Joe’s greatest passions were spending time with his family and friends and visiting his beloved second home in Prince Edward Island, Canada where he had spent all his summers since he was a child.

The Sullivan family would like to send many thanks to Joe’s caregivers at Seton Williamson Hospital, Cornerstone Hospital and Bel Air at Teravista for looking after Joe with such tremendous care over the past few months. A cherished husband, father, and grandfather, Joe will be profoundly missed by all those who have had the great pleasure of knowing him.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree MA 02184. The following morning family and friends will gather at the funeral home for the procession to St. Clare Church, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree MA 01284, for a Funeral Mass at 10am. The church Joe faithfully attended for over 20 years. Interment will take place in Blue Hill Cemetery 700 West Street, Braintree, MA.
