O'KEEFE, Joseph of Braintree, formerly of North Quincy, passed away unexpectedly, on November 3, 2018, at the age of 60. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in North Quincy. Joseph graduated from Boston State College with a degree in Criminal Justice. He retired from the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office after 33 years of service. Joseph, along with his wife Diana, were the proud owners of Threads and Ink Embroidery Shop for the past 10 years, in Braintree Square. His joy in life was spending time with his family in New Hampshire at their lake house and on his boat. Joseph will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Beloved husband of Diana (Merlo) O’Keefe. Loving father of Stephen Dunn and his wife Bianca, Jennifer O’Keefe and her fiancé Brian Talbot, Kimberly O’Keefe and Laura O’Keefe, all of Braintree. Cherished grandfather of Charlotte Dunn. Dear son of the late Joseph and Christine (Rupp) O’Keefe. Devoted brother of Susan Valday of Braintree, Dennis O’Keefe of Lowell, Kevin O’Keefe of Quincy and Diane Sullivan of Pembroke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 8th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 9th, at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, Quincy. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
