Barbara also enjoyed visiting Cape Cod and had a passion for the ocean, detective shows, and walking around the Arnold Arboretum. She was known for her many handwritten cards and notes to family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Barbara will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Barbara was the wife of William H. Frye for 58 years and loving mother of Maryrose Frye-Toma and her husband Robert of Braintree, Douglas M. Frye and his wife Anne of Marshfield, Christopher C. Frye and his wife Michelle of Abington, Carl D. Frye and his wife Michelle Dominico-Frye of Wendell, NC, Laura J. Messina and her husband John M. of Holbrook, Jennifer N. Frye-Cametti of Marshfield, Marcia A. Felix and her husband Fabio of Foxborough and the late Eric W. Frye. She was the devoted sister of Linda S. Boothroyd of Brighton and the late Doris L. Gardner. Barbara was lovingly known as “Grammy” to Erica, Griffin, Megan, Alec, Jack, Madison, Matthew, Taylor, Nicholas, Nicolle, Will, Dominique, Monet, Aidan,Hudson, and the late Bridgette. Finally yet importantly, she was sister-in-law of Richard E. Frye of Braintree and Dorothy L. Drake of IL. Barbara also was survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 16th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (RT 37), Holbrook. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 17th at 10:00 AM in St. Clare Church, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
