James Lewis of Braintree passed away on August 22, 2018, at the age of 59 due to health-related issues. James was the son of the late Gordon and Patricia AuCoin of Braintree, Massachusetts. James lived in Braintree for most of his life. He graduated from Braintree High School in 1977. He worked for AuCoin Construction as a skilled carpenter until an injury forced his retirement. He was an associate member of Braintree DAV and Sons of Italy for many years where he enjoyed playing bocce in the summertime. He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor. Beloved brother of William AuCoin and wife Dorie of Hanson, Steven AuCoin and wife Sandra of Braintree, Susan (AuCoin) Modica and husband Anthony of Bridgewater, Elizabeth (AuCoin) Aunchman and husband Gary of Lowell, and twin brother John AuCoin and wife Michele of Braintree. Also survived by his six nieces and nephews Rory, Matthew, Michael, Joseph, Edward, and Christine. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
